It was a terrible experience for Stinger, the deaf Pit Bull, who endured thousands of bee stings and was left at a shelter by his family. His body was covered in dangerous blisters when he arrived, but thankfully rescuers came to his aid.
Due to the severity of the dog’s condition, the shelter had no option but to consider euthanizing him. Luckily, Carri Shipaila from LuvnPupz rescue in Greater Grand Rapids, MI, came forward to offer her help. Upon learning about Stinger’s situation, she promptly drove for almost an hour to take him to safety from the shelter.
Unfortunately, even though she wanted Stinger’s family to take him back, they declined. So, she took it upon herself to save his life. She tended to his stings, as well as a skin infection and sarcoptic mange that he developed later on. However, Stinger was diagnosed with Pemphigus, an autoimmune disease, which will affect him for the rest of his life.
He won’t be available for adoption due to the expenses of his treatment, but fortunately, he has found a permanent and affectionate home with a foster family. LuvnPupz will still provide him with the necessary attention and therapy.
Stinger has made significant progress from the time he was abandoned at the shelter. He has fully recovered from his blisters and now has a beautiful white coat.
This adorable dog has a playful and affectionate personality, thriving in his new forever home.
