At first, the puppy was afraid of the humans that approached him. But as time went by, he began to gain confidence and trust in them. Despite being alone for several days, he seemed to be in good physical health, but was clearly unhappy.
Stray dogs face numerous obstacles in their struggle for survival. Unfortunately, there are some individuals who cruelly abandon these animals in situations where they are unable to fend for themselves.
A recent example of such cruelty was captured on video by Animal House New, a shelter that responded to a call from concerned neighbors regarding an abandoned puppy in an unoccupied house nearby.
The cruelest deed of all was when the little dog was left alone to fend for itself without any sustenance or hydration, and additionally restrained to one of the doors of the residence.
As the team from Animal House News arrived at the location, they observed that the lone dog was without any human company. The puppy seemed to be experiencing fatigue, sadness, and hunger, which were the most noticeable signs.
The rescuers had a tough time trying to gain the dog’s trust as he was frightened and hesitant to interact with them. However, they tried to make him feel comfortable by offering food and water, but he refused to eat. In order to free him from the heavy chains around his neck, they used specialized equipment.
Afterward, they loaded him onto a pickup truck and transported him to the vet for a check-up. Despite the hardships he faced, the little pup seemed to be in decent shape. The only thing that seemed to affect him was a deep feeling of being left behind.
As per the shelter’s report, their volunteers have been taking great care of the spike and showering him with love. The good news is that he is showing remarkable progress with each passing day. He can now play and move around with ease, which wasn’t possible before.
