The underbelly of these creatures is less pigmented and displays a lighter shade. They share a similar shade of blue throughout their bodies, but the top section of their physique showcases a stronger blue hue, contrasting with the blue jay’s lower white region.
Additionally, these creatures possess identical tail measurements, a throat and breast adorned with a brilliant white coloration.
The blue jay lacks the distinctive black facial markings and noticeable crest that can be seen in other birds.
The woodhouse’s scrub jay, previously identified as the California scrub jay, likes to make its home in areas with low-lying scrub vegetation, oak woodlands, the edges of mixed forests, and boreal and temperate forests.
In general, these magnificent creatures are commonly spotted towards the western side of the Rocky Mountains in the southern region.
